There are many ways you can get involved in ministering to the Church family:

Nurture the Spirit

Book Discussion Ministry – conduct small group discussions
Join the Outreach/Witness Leadership Team - supports Outreach, In-reach and Witness
Chancel Choir – sing in the choir
Men’s Choir – sing in a choir for Mother’s Day
Parish Post Article – write about a "God moment" in your life
Call to Worship and Unison Prayer Ministry – lead the congregation in these parts during worship

Provide Comfort

Prayer Shawl Ministry – knit shawls, baby blankets and pocket shawls
Meeting House Ministry – support receptions after Memorial and Funeral Services
Card Encouragement and Caring Ministry – send cards to lift people up
Grief Healing Ministry – send grief care booklets to those who have experienced a loss
Stephen’s Ministry – become a Stephen Minister and provide one-on-one Christian care
Touchstones Ministry – visit and phone those in hospitals, care facilities or at home

Foster Hospitality and Connection

Sunday Coffee Hour and Fellowship Café Ministry – serve and clean up
Meal Ministry – provide a meal to a family in need
Friendship Table Ministry – follow up on guest book entries and update the table
Fun and Fellowship Ministry – plan, orchestrate or lead fun and fellowship activities
Transportation to Church Ministry – provide rides to services, programs, events
Usher Ministry – greet at worship, memorial services, events
Flower Ministry – decorate for Christmas and Easter, and deliver donated flowers

Minister to Those in Transitions

CareNotes Ministry – keep the rack stocked with spiritually uplifting brochures
Caregiver’s Ministry – support communications to those caring for others
Job Seeker’s Ministry – provide support to those seeking jobs or changing careers
Birthday Card Ministry – write cards to individuals on their special day
Prayer Chain Ministry – pray for others

Minister to Youth

Church School/God’s Garden Ministry – be a teacher or childcare provider
Youth Group Ministry – be a youth advisor to Junior High or High School youth
Confirmation – be a mentor or a teacher
Vacation Bible School – help plan, set up, work with children, clean up

Join the Faith Leadership Team - support faith-building programs and activities

Make Events a Blessing

Annual Autumn WCC Craft Fair – plan, recruit vendors, do PR…
Advent Fair – set up, plan activities, help with crafts, clean up
Brownie/Chili Cookoff – help organize, run the event or cook
Christmas Cookie Stroll – help organize, run the event or cook
Children’s Christmas Eve Pageant – set up, plan, work with children, clean up

Support the Stewardship

of Our Resources

Office Support Ministry – answer phones, greet visitors and handle projects as identified and under the direction of the Office Administrator
Communication Preparation Ministry – assemble/fold/prepare materials for distribution
Library – help make books available and set up seasonal displays
Muscle Ministry – set up or take down tables and chairs for events
Property Trustees Ministry – support building and maintenance projects
Trade Consultant – lend your expertise of the trades to the Property Trustees Ministry
Lawn Mowing Ministry – be part of the lawn mowing team
Beautification Ministry – tend church gardens and do grounds/building related projects
Building Ministry – clean various rooms in the church
Stewardship Pledge Drive – plan, organize, assemble, mail materials

Join the Stewardship Leadership Team – supports building and financial ministries
