Children’s Christian Education

Wapping Community Church offers a complete Christian education experience for children age 3 - Grade 8 through our GOD’S GARDEN Church School Program. God’s Garden is held each week during the 10:00 a.m. service through the church school year (mid-September through Children’s Sunday in early June).
Lil’ Sprouts - 3 years old
through Kindergarten
The preschoolers and kindergartners start their Sunday morning in the Sanctuary with their families. Children of all ages leave the Sanctuary during the Passing of the Peace. They meet up with their teacher in Fellowship Hall, directly below the Sanctuary. From there, the Lil’ Sprouts go to their classroom located on the 3rd Floor. Each week the Lil’ Sprouts sing songs, play games, and do activities that teach them about God’s love. These reinforce the Bible story of the week. Parents may pick up their children after the 10 a.m. service.

Faith Chest Presentation
Children are given a faith chest in the fall of their first grade year. Each chest is personalized on the inside cover. A faith chest is a place that you can store keepsakes of meaningful moments along your lifelong faith journey.
Bible Presentation
Children in 3rd grade receive the Adventure Bible to keep and take home. This fun edition has interesting facts and activities throughout. Our hope is that children will page through it often and explore God's word.
