Fun fact, we learned that Old First is built over Philly's oldest well, and that it has a crypt in the basement that was one full of bodies, "so we've got that," as Kayla said. We'll probably see that later in the week, or so I've been told.
Then each family went off for a scavenger hunt walking around town, with final scores as follows:
Pink: 36 "The Squad" ...I think
Yellow: 39 "Davies Matthews Band"
Green: 45! "Green Machines"
And the winning team, aka "Green Machines" got ice cream sandwiches and the admiration of their peers.

Tonight we introduced our theme, MEETING JESUS, looking at Matthew 25 to think about who we might meet and how they might be Jesus. Including the people we are working alongside. "Do this for the least..."
People are settling down on their mats and air mattresses to slumber, peacefully-- what was that song from worship this morning, Blessed Quietness? (wistful sigh) ...that thing so swiftly in the distance for us--and wake at the EARLY O CLOCK.
Tomorrow, groups will work with people living with HIV/AIDS, bake for families waiting for a loved one's organ transplant, and sort food and feed people in need.
