WORSHIP
Sunday
morning worship is the focal point of our congregational life together.
Weekly worship keeps our faith strong and centered on Christ and
provides a reminder that we are God's people.
Our
prayer time during worship has been an undeniable source of personal
comfort for those who offer prayer requests and for those who listen
and pray in silence. We celebrate the sacraments of communion and
baptism faithfully nearly every month of the year. And services with
special themes and formats continue to bring people in touch with God's
presence in new and meaningful ways.
Wapping offers two worship
services each Sunday, one at 8:30 am and one at 10:00 am. During the
summer, the early service is held outside, weather permitting.
The
8:30 am service is a smaller service. The focus is on the sermon and
message for the day. Usually there is a soloist and few large events
are planned for this service.
The 10:00 am service is
the main service. The senior choir sings. Children attend at the
beginning of worship and are invited to hear a children's story before
being dismissed for Sunday School. Sometimes we have baptisms and other
events at this service.
After each service, we have a coffee hour to visit with each other and greet new people. Please stop by and say hello!!
